FrameFlow - Alerts by Voice & SMS
Alerts by Voice Phone Call and SMS Text Message
With a voice or SMS modem installed on the system where FrameFlow runs, it can send you alerts by SMS text message or by calling your cell phone or land line and playing a message.
With a voice modem, your FrameFlow installation can call you on your cell phone or land line to deliver alerts about critical conditions. Because it uses the telephone system directly, you can be sure the alert will get through as long as the FrameFlow server is alive.
You internet connection can be down and your Exchange server might be on fire but the alerts will still get through to you on your phone.
You can easily record your own sound files and use them for specific conditions so that you immediately know how to proceed to fix the situation.
SMS Text Message Alerts
With an SMS/GPRS modem installed in your FrameFlow system you can receive alerts on your mobile devices through SMS text messages.
What is an SMS/GPRS modem? It's basically a cell phone with no screen or buttons and a USB connection so you can easily connect it to a system.
You install a SIM card from your preferred mobile carrier in the modem and make sure it has an unlimited text messaging plan. You connect it via USB and then FrameFlow can communicate with it to send text messages.
Text messages go directly from your FrameFlow system "over the air" through your cellular carrier which means that your primary internet connection can be down or even your whole network and the alerts will still get through as long as your FrameFlow system is alive.
