FrameFlow - Notifications
Get Alerted Right Away About Potential Problems
When an IT system fails it's not long before people start complaining. FrameFlow can alert you about
systems that have failed regular checks so you can sometimes fix problems before they trickle down
to end users.
E-mail Notifications
FrameFlow has robust support for e-mail notifications. Every notification includes complete details
about the checks that were attempted and exactly why they failed. E-mail notifications are sent in
formatted HTML by default so they are clear and easy to read but you can switch to text-only notifications
or even a special compact format that is designed especially for mobile devices.
E-mail Notification Options
Rules-Based Notification Engine
FrameFlow includes a powerful rules-based notification engine that gives you complete
control over who is notified and when. With a few clicks you can setup alerts for
one staff group during business hours and a different staff group off-hours. It
even includes intelligent recognition of public holidays so that you can be sure
the difference between on-hours and off-hours is always correctly recognized.
Template-Driven Notifications
All e-mail notifications are based on templates that you can easily customize. You can add
extra details such as troubleshooting steps, contact information, system technical details
and much more.
Escalation of Alerts
FrameFlow notifications also support escalation. For example, for the first two failures you
might choose to just display error status in dashboards and reports. On the next failure you
can notify your first line support staff. Then if the error condition persists on subsequent checks
alerts can be directed to second tier or higher level staff members. It's a great workflow
mechanism that helps you to ensure that critical issues get the attention that they require.
