We have been hard at work on the next FrameFlow release. Version 2019.4 is scheduled for release in mid-November and will include a number of new features and improvements.

Some the new features coming your way include:

Updated email notification templates with better desktop client support
New options to toggle between the display of relative and absolute dates in all event history lists
Improved user interface performance for configurations that have collected a large number of event history records
More reliable monitoring for Linux processes

Along the way we also fixed a few issues that were recently discovered.

Have you recently seen a message about "The stub received bad data". If you did, it probably started after you applied recent Windows updates. In the 1809 update for Windows, Microsoft broke the API that we use for some kinds of event log monitoring. Happily there's a second API we can use and that one was unaffected so FrameFlow 2019.4 uses it instead.

We also fixed an issue with recording data points in the Windows Bandwidth monitor, a problem with using SNMP mappings in multi-site installs and a number of other things.

Beta Release

A number of customers have expressed an interest in getting access to an early release of v2019.4. A beta release will be available in our customer portal on Monday November 4th. Check back then if you want to try the beta. The official release is scheduled for mid November with the actual release date depending on feedback and testing.
