Security Best Practices Guide

Our Security Best Practices Guide is now live. It details how to securely deploy FrameFlow, building a strong base for secure operations. Use it to create a perfect balance between protecting sensitive information and giving necessary clearance for your everyday IT operations.

Live Now: Event Monitor Reference Library

Also new to the Technical Resources page is our Event Monitor Reference Library! Browse our catalog of over 100 event monitors and learn the steps required to activate, configure, and authenticate each one. Each event monitor has its own page that details protocols, use cases, outputs, and minimum authentications needed. It’s all the information you need in one concise document.

For example, imagine that you're setting up a new Task Scheduler Event Monitor and you need to know the protocols the event monitor uses to connect. The event monitor's reference guide is where you can find that information, plus helpful tidbits that you may not have previously known. It breaks down each monitoring action the event monitor performs and lists use cases you may not have thought of. Take full advantage of this tool to make sure you're getting the most out of your FrameFlow license.

New Tutorial: SNMP Event Monitor

Our Features page is currently filled with new tutorials, but we want to highlight the SNMP Event Monitor in particular. It’s full of customizable monitoring options that keep you up to speed on the health of your SNMP-based devices. FrameFlow hides the complicated aspects of SNMP and provides you with a friendlier interface with which to monitor SNMP. You can even color-code the SNMP Event Monitor’s result data for easier viewing. Check it out today!

New Tutorial: Notification Triggers

Another stand-out tutorial is our most recent addition: Notification Triggers. This tutorial walks you through all the different ways to define and control the notifications you receive from FrameFlow. By configuring your notification triggers, you can control the priority status of different alerts.

For example, if you need to receive every error or critical alert immediately and success, info, and warning alerts clutter your inbox, you can choose the "error and critical" notification trigger. It will limit the notifications you receive to include only error and critical status alerts. Click here to view the tutorial.

Current Release: FrameFlow v2021.11

Our most recent release is still v2021.11, so make sure to login and update soon if you haven't already. Installing updates in a timely fashion is just one of many ways to tighten security mentioned in the Security Best Practices Guide.

The next update is scheduled for mid-October and will include several fixes and smaller updates. We'll tell you more about it in our next newsletter.

Wrap Up

That's all for this newsletter. We hope you find these new features useful and we'd love to hear any feedback. Get in touch if you have any questions or comments.

Sincerely,

The FrameFlow Team
