Multi-State Event Monitor

Checks the status of other event monitors and only alerts if some combination of them are in a failed state.

Overview

The Multi-State Event Monitor alerts based on the state of other event monitors. For example, you can use it to be alerted only if five out of ten selected event monitors have failed.

Monitoring Options

This event monitor provides the following options:

Event Monitors

Use the Monitor Chooser button to select the event monitors whose status will be checked.

Alert with [Info/Warning/Error/Critical] if [all|any] event monitors are failing

This option lets you alert if any or all of the selected event monitors are in a state other than Success.

Alert if there are more than a specified number of event monitors are failing

Use this option to select thresholds for the number of event monitors that need to be failing before triggering an alert.

Include a list of all selected event monitor statuses

With this option enabled, each notification alert will show the list of selected event monitors and their current statuses.

Authentication and Security

This event monitor does not require any authentication.

Data Points

This event monitor does not generate any data points.
